Let's discuss personal safety:
There are times when the company you work or worked for often ignored ones plea for more protection or safety when it comes to weapons or objects of destruction. You were laughed at or looked upon in disgust for mentioning such a thing because people thought you were crazy and probably needed to get out more. While bosses along with fellow co-workers were thinking about this huge expense that the business would incur as a result of having to install weapons detectors in the building and around each and every office. So you go home depressed thinking, wow people think America is really protected against this sort of thing. Then you begin to realize that you should concern yourself with your own safety and never mind someone else's views on freedom and how they think that the world or surroundings that they live in are adequately protected.
Weapon detection devices are available to the public and you do not need to be involved in law enforcement or be a government official to purchase what is known as a "metal detector." There is however a need for equipment to become more sophisticated and compact. In stating this, there is a need for the same equipment to also be able to detect pipe bombs or explosives in general.
Metal detectors work by coils that are inserted into them that transmit an electromagnetic field that signals metal detection when metal is detected. The electromagnetic field is then transmitted to a signal as represented on the metal detector that indicates what type of metal is being detected. Explosive or bomb detectors work by luminol chemiluminescence, which is the emission of light by a chemical during a chemical reaction. The vapors of a chemical such as nitroglycerine, TNT,C4, urea nitrate and dynamite(so much for good times) ect; can be detected by the explosive detector and then the explosive detector device transmits a signal based upon it's findings to alert the person that these is a dangerous explosive nearby. With the use of this type of equipment the person can either get as far away from the weapon or explosive as possible and just look out for self, especially because they were laughed at and joked upon regarding office safety or they can alert the police and building personnel regarding the situation, as they would have liked someone to do for them.
Yes, there is a need for personalized and compact weapons and explosive detectors to be made available to the general public for use while traveling and for environmental safety and surroundings. Success is when somebody makes it big and definitely not on $15 an hour. But to "blow up" or to say that you are about to while trying to contact those so-called loved ones who make a hell of a lot more than you; although strangely enough you're being put through it, talk about duties of sacrifice- is not an awesome thing. I'm almost 50 so, that word has to be used sparingly. Let's spare lives with the personal and compact weapons and explosive detector!
