People and families of people with those who are affected by autism and usually in search of a way to help such a disability. Medications, therapies and all sorts of things just to see those individual(s) progress. It's sort of like treating the heart. When there seems to be something abnormal you visit your cardio physician and the doctor just says "Hey, your heart beat is irregular, you need a pacemaker." You wait until you can no longer continue the way you are resulting from your heart's ability to allow you to function and then you finally get one. The pacemaker controls the electrical function of the heart so that it does not beat too fast or slow." The pacemaker has been the standard treatment for abnormal heart rhythms that require their use. In autism, back in the day there were mental institutions and all kinds of brain surgeries and medications that just kept the patient sleep day in and out. Nobody really thought about the brain in relation to the heart and the fact that the brain can receive an overload of impulses due to it's own electrical wiring that needs to be adjusted in a similar way. Now, before you go getting all upset and what not over being in a special education capacity and worrying about somebody taking your job, just think for a bleeping minute. People on the autism spectrum will still need that kind of assistance and of course medical treatment. The brains neurotransmitters are impaired and causes the autistic mind to be overwhelmed. Neurotransmitters in the brain are amino acids, dopamine, serotonin, vasopressin, neurotensin ect., the brain needs these neurotransmitters to function in order to process sensory information. Electrical stimulation or regulation of the brains neurotransmitters by electrical stimulation is an approach to help those with autism in order to improve brain function. This is not a sentence and putting your loved one in the electric chair, it may perhaps help those families who are trying to remedy such behavior and get them out of one. The only thing people loved about black was hair color, just saying! The process is very simple and can be used along with other autism therapies on people with any kind of hair color. A pacemaker of sorts that can be used on the brain, just like the heart in order to help regulate intracellular and extracellular concentration of neurotransmitters throughout the brain. This is because the brain pacemaker stimulates the brain to release the neurotransmitters so that the brain can function as it normally would. Now, you wouldn't refuse a pacemaker if your heart needed one, would you? Ok, if you do I suppose everybody lives according to what they can tolerate. But for those who want to improve brain function in people with autism, the brain pacemaker- it helps those help themselves!
