The spice Nutmeg(the Mace spice actually comes from the Nutmeg seed. It is the outer covering.) is said to be good for lowering blood pressure and cholesterol. Does the bad outweigh the good?
In an instance when you overindulge to the point of toxic use. A small dose of something good, goes a long way than a set dose of something that may do harm to other parts of the body. Nutmeg is also good for the brain and kidneys(It can assist with kidney stone problems) and it also helps with liver ailments. Nutmeg salts are a good way to relax the body and soak aching feet, legs and muscles if you are feeling tired and low on energy. In a bowl large enough for your feet you just fill it with water at a very warm temperature and then place the dissolving Nutmeg salts in to the water. Your feet should soon follow and your body will soon feel rejuvenated as Nutmeg helps with circulation. Nutmeg salts can also be used in a sauna setting to loosen up tight muscles and to purge toxins from the body which is always a good thing.
Nutmeg-don't use it like money, when a little goes a long way! Just remember always consult your herbalist if you have medical conditions or are taking other medicines or supplements.
