Due to the release of kinin and nitric oxide in the pulmonary system or the lungs more specifically, people on ACE inhibitors are prone to constant and chronic coughing. This is because the lungs are trying to remove the buildup of kinin in them. Antioxidants called polyphenols remove free radicals in the body which protects the cells and tissues in the body from the age process are what inhibits kinin or bradykinin from excess accumulation throughout the lungs.
ACE inhibitors need to include antioxidants in them to prevent the side effects of extreme coughing and inprove kidney function so that the kidneys will be able to function properly by filtrating waste out of the bloodstream and kidneys.
When bradykinin causes slower kidney function and a bad cough- don't consider it tacky or tachy to add an antioxidant to the medication itself. This is how you ACE and not inhibit medicine!
