Paper or physical charts was once the only way to do something. There was no computer to store information on and there was no fancy copier that copies, scans, prints and faxes. Charts, depending on them can become a burden because they get misplaced somewhere or are stacked up all over the place and you end up wasting valuable time trying to find them. Generally, with paper charts you have a bunch of information that becomes redundant once it is stored in a computer database. Paper charts get old, dusty and unattractive to send anywhere. When working with them they serve as a reference because you can go through them among other paperwork to see what's, what and to establish what needs to be done. But, that's only when you need to familiarize yourself with a job patient or claimant. After a while you just want to scan each and every let's say HIPAA authorization request including the paperwork for it so that every thing is an online thing and you no longer have to fetch or look high and low for paper charts that are really just a reference point to complete the task. Gosh, I just wish that software enhancements could be made so that each and every request or authorization could be scanned and stored so that one could just view it if necessary. Sure, you can create new authorization requests, but at least you don't need to refer to a bunch of charts that can appear unorganized and because of it, it takes even more time to go through them to figure things out. You should be able to organize your online authorization requests by those that were faxed, mailed and e-mailed. Once the claimants information such as: medical records, employment information are finally sent from the hospital or company; you can scan them and then just take that information and store it as a backup and store it into the claimant software and finally send it to the attorney's office. Invoices can be scanned and sent via e-mail or fax through the claimant software on the computer. This definitely creates a faster way to work. Especially when you get charts and cd's that should be stored on the computer itself as part of the claimant's file. This eliminates the confusion of what cd's get mailed to whom or how to put the cd's in the chart without damaging them. For example: medical records arrive in paper format and a cd arrives with images. What do you do? First, you can scan the paper charts for backup on computer and then put them into the claimant's chart in the software, you then copy the cd files for backup on computer and then put them into the claimant's chart in the software; you then scan the paper invoice for backup on computer and then put it in the claimants chart in the software. Afterwards, all you need to do is to send your pdf charts, and your cd directly from the computer and you can do this with invoices also. Attorney's can retrieve the paper charts and cd's on their database or software once they receive them. Eventually all of the original paper and cd's can be shredded, because you no longer need them. Paper and cd storage creates clutter and may not protect the cd's in the long run due to light or temperature extremes. Working without paper charts really needs to be considered!
Ok, older people make like challenging. It's always something. Look, they can't help it as the body does not just go back into place as would a younger one. It's true that when you have to change your diet, certain things may happen. But this should not affect everything else. Such as belching afterwards of stent placement. Belching symptoms can be due to angina. Angina is known as chest discomfort resulting from narrowing of the arteries or the fact that plaque in the arteries can break or separate and cause blockage or obstructions within the arteries of the heart. What people who have heart problems are unaware of is that certain activities may cause angina to occur. Some of these activities are: going out in cold weather, laughing, eating a heavy meal, exercise or laughing excessively. People may also complain about having to breathe for more air or feeling as though they are losing their breath. Belching after stent placement is associated with inferior infarction that is an enhanced autonomic reaction to ischemic heart disease;that causes vagal stimulation thus producing gastric duress. Nitroglycerin tablets are often used to relieve the chest discomfort in order to reduce the onset of belching.
Another problem with having a stent or stents are the emotional anxieties that occur. This is especially when you are put on several different medications and have stents in one or more arteries. Hyperventilation Syndrome is the term used to describe symptoms that bring about hyperventilation. Many times when someone with heart disease is anxious over their upcoming physician appointments, bills, medications and getting back to regular life they may breathe abnormally. In doing so, they breathe more quickly than the body requires it to, especially under stress. When upper muscles in the body become tight or tense this affects the diaphragm. This puts pressure on the thoracic muscles when you breathe. Once you've had a heart attack and then by becoming stressed afterwards this can contribute to overuse of these muscles;and when one begins to feel that they feel breathless and have chest tightness. Breathing properly when coping with stress after stent placement is something physicians should instruct their patients to do before they leave the hospital.
When people suffer from heart attacks they lose oxygen and that affects the brain. It's really important to know that even if you are without oxygen for a few moments your brain can really struggle in terms of remembering things in terms of your short term memory. Cardiologists deal with the heart and neurologists deal with neurology disorders which includes problems with the brain. Heart attack survivors may often complain about their short term memory. Once the brain is deprived of oxygen, the central nervous system then stops the brain from sending the correct signals throughout the body. This is called a functional neurological disorder or even mild cognitive impairment. Why?, because it may not affect the day to day routine of things. But when it comes to thinking about let's say things that have to be or remembered such as where to go, and what to get this is when things in the brain get somewhat jumbled. It's frightening because although you were able to get up and get around the house and get yourself ready, you still have to think about where you're going and how to get there and what you need to do or get and what you may need to tell someone. As this continues each day a person who suffers from short term memory loss this may become depressed because they feel they are losing their grip on their independence because they need to rely on others to help them with their short term memory. Like a career I once had. Yes, it drives wives and daughter's bonkers because these people then have to assist the person who has the short term memory loss among all the complaining about it. Like a career I once had. When we were kids to kick things off we had coloring books to start with in to learning how to read and write. These were like workbooks to learn numbers, pictures and even words. Older adults who have suffered through this sort of thing may get upset about having to go to a doctor. There needs to be some kind of therapy that one can do at home to work on that memory thing at their leisure. Now I get it, The memory enhancers workbook that is filled with lots of words, pictures and memory or brain function exercises to help re-train the brain into remembering the short term things again. This workbook of sorts can be done on a computer, tablet or even as a regular carry around paper workbook for those adults who do not want to be overwhelmed by using technology. The memory enhancing workbook can be used by anyone who has suffered trauma to the brain causing short term memory loss. The good thing about the memory enhancement workbook is that you can work anytime and do not have to be limited by doing such exercises at a physicians office or facility. You don't have to worry about the medical bills that are going to stack up as a result of your getting therapy. This often times can make a situation worse. Most of all these exercises are from beginner to advanced and really help restore brain function without the waiting to see a specialist and then having to remember how to get home. Yes, you will be reminded of how much you owe at a physicians office, and then forget to pay the bill. Short term memory loss causes all kinds of problems and aggravation. But with the memory enhancer workbook you can now stay in the comfort of your own home and work on your brain and save money also. And most of all there workbook therapies will be paid for since they are inexpensive and cheaper than going to a specialist.
