Even when it comes to reporting vaccines and keeping track of what's available or by having that information to provide to the state can be tedious. What if there were a way to reduce the amount of input time by having each computer software program via EMR software and a state registry or an EMR software and an health insurance or pre-certification website; being able to generate the same information by just typing it in once- wouldn't that be great and expedient for a busy medical office?
I want to introduce the EMR Software Bridge Link:
The EMR Software Bridge Link is software that is embedded into the EMR and all other websites that involve patient demographics and other information. The EMR Software Bridge Link allows the front desk worker who is inputting information into the computer to select their EMR software system and EMR number and then enter a patients name and DOB and then have that information populate within a state registry or health insurance/precertification website, once that information is correct the front desk person now has the patients' demographics entered into the system. This would prove to be a valuable resource. Once all information is verified as correct the front desk worker can enter other new information(referral/precertification) as the EMR Software Bridge Link extracts pertinent information by uploading it into their registry of HIPAA compliant information. For example: a referral needs to be done but the patient does not yet have the new insurance card with their insurance number, although they know the name of the insurance company. If the front desk worker had the EMR Software Bridge Link they could go onto the health insurance's website and enter the EMR software system, input the EMR number and press enter. They would enter the patients name and DOB. The health insurance website then populates patient information according to the information provided. Once the correct patient is selected, the health insurance website provides the home address and phone number ect. and the subscriber or patient's health insurance identification appears which can now be used to enter or update into the EMR software since you did not have the patient's insurance number. Now, you can get your referral or precertification done. Without the EMR Software Bridge Link you would have had to wait for the patient to provide you the subscriber number(which is ok, but I'm sure people would like to go home or wherever and do other things besides medical stuff.) There are some health insurance websites that will not allow a patient search unless you have a patient's health insurance identification number. The EMR Software Bridge Link enables the front desk worker to input a few demographics and link the EMR software to generate patient information necessary to obtain the correct insurance number so that a referral or precertification can be done. With EMR Software Bridge Link this information can also be populated into the EMR software for outgoing/incoming referrals and authorizations. This would work the same for a state registry by selecting the EMR software and EMR number and inputting a patient's name and DOB, the patient's demographics can be generated instantly and also link any medical services a patient may have had as pertinent to the website and use of eg. vaccines.
The EMR Software Bridge Link is for busy medical offices and reduces the time repetitive information is entered, thus giving you the flexibility to finish your work. Hey, that's why you're there anyway! Sometimes people marry the same person twice. Let's stop those big no, no's and use the EMR Software Bridge Link!
