There are devices that let you know when law enforcement are around so that your driving is on it's best behavior. But there are times when drivers need alert detection with regards to speed limits and yield signs that are situated on roads that are generally very busy or in areas where the signs may be difficult to notice. People are always talking about the "side eye". I say that when it comes to driving, because you have to do it all the time to notice speed limit, stop and yield signs.
We have yet to have the technology where we have "smart signs" that enable drivers to see a yield sign, stop sign or street speed limit sign from a traffic indicator that is located in the same place as the traffic light. It would be nice because giving the "side eye" would be reduced tremendously since all directional cues and road rules would be provided from the traffic indicator located on the traffic light.
This would reduce the amount of traffic tickets given because of signs that were not noticed because of other road distractions, bad weather, lack of visibility especially at night. Do I think that speed limit signs should be posted as though they are highway or thruway signs, if there are no traffic lights available to properly direct traffic? Yes, because drivers can look straight ahead and do the "side eye" thing less often. It takes time, money and technology to eventually have all of the roads in the United States equipped with such advanced road technology. Until then we
need portable detection built into a mini gps tracker that indicates the speed limit on streets and roads that are traveled.
The Speed Limit Tracker
The Speed Limit Tracker is a mini device that can be hung on a rear view mirror or driver visor. The Speed Limit Tracker is a gps system that informs the driver of the speed limit on each street, road or highway that is being driven on and will inform the driver of the speed limit while traveling. The Speed Limit Tracker will also alert the driver to streets and roads when they must yield at while they are driving. With the internal date and time inside The Speed Limit Tracker, it will also alert drivers when streets have to be traveled at reduced speeds due to school children. The Speed Limit Tracker will also inform the driver when there are deer or animals crossings in the area. Hey, running into those creatures are more dangerous than the police- sometimes!
When you need a little help and want to stop the "side eye" routine, be a dear instead of getting a costly one and use The Speed Limit Tracker.
