Robots are created to do tasks that can be highly dangerous or time consuming for any ordinary individual. People are free and should be allowed to travel and reside in any country they choose, even if it is in the USA. However, there has to be some compromise as to how we use technology and to ensure the fact that America does not displace it's own citizens in employment by not offering decent jobs to them. It would seem as though the advancement in technology offsets the employment factor regarding jobs that are available. When this occurs you they have people that need to be trained to do other types jobs that typically do not pay as well and are not as gratifying or what they were doing before. In terms of freedom, one can live in accordance with the laws of this country and or state, only to find that opportunities are fewer because of the number of people (domestic and foreign) seeking well paying jobs. So what does one do to live in freedom?
In the displacement of the American worker, it is found that many jobs were offered in the medical field. People took those jobs because they were available and county and state agencies readily offered programs for training. This did not mean that they led to high paying jobs with benefits or that they were any comparison to a job that a person may have had before. But, the important thing was that it was a job that allowed a person to learn, be useful and earn a paycheck no matter how small. Many of these jobs do not offer medical and retirement benefits, so there goes the concept of freedom and choice once American's get older.
Consider the facts:
The USA is displacing workers by downsizing and eliminating jobs due to the economy and other factors including the use of technology and foreign diplomacy.
The USA then funnels those displaced workers into other areas of employment and so called high demand jobs eg. the medical industry.
The USA pays these displaced workers a lot less and does not provide medical and retirement benefits, although they are employed in the medical industry.
The USA allows immigrants and foreigners to come here and obtain jobs and education and will often hire them or pay them to work overseas, for a decent to high paying wages along with medical and retirement benefits as opposed to hiring a qualified USA citizen.
The USA has made an enemy of itself. because immigrants often send money back or keep it within their homeland to improve upon it. United States citizens do not have the money resulting from the fact that they were not given the salary opportunity, to build this country out of ruins. It takes money to afford and maintain decent housing. Should we all be finding land or places to build homes in another country? Then we would be able to afford retirement, by living outside of the USA.
We know two things: One of them is that technology has become the mainstream and the other thing is that America is home to all. If humans are to stay afloat in society, then it may be time to incorporate or at least offer training in the design and engineering of robots to displaced workers since it will be crucial for people to know how to use them as they may work alongside them in the not too distant future. This type of education course(s) and job creation in technology will not only create companies of jobs in the USA, it will allow workers to become employed in highly skilled jobs, by using robot technology. Because the worker is now in a highly skilled employ the job market will begin to pay or subsidy the worker based upon the cost of living. Hell, they subsidy most everything and everybody else!
Yes, we need a robot to actually compute a living wage subsidy that people can survive adequately on. Human's thus far have been unable to do so, $15.00 an hour-have them live off of my paycheck! By offering this technology in education, course(s) by job displacement it will remove the barrier of the menial skill and low paid worker. Many American's are tired of the same song and dance about the lack of decent paying and highly skilled jobs. The robot is a gesture in dance, done since the 1970's-it's time for people to learn the course and become employed in order earn decent salaries as a result!
