The Broca's area of the brain is located on the left side of the brain. This area of the brain is responsible for speech production and language comprehension. The Wernicke's area of the brain enables the interpretation of words that are read or heard and then transmitts this information through a bundle of fibers in the brain to the Broca's area. Aphasia is a term used to describe speech and language disorders or impairments; reading and writing are also included in this disorder. Broca's aphasia is when the speech or the ability to speak is very limited or when someone is unable to speak or say more than a few words. By not being able to pronounce words and to establish a vocabulary of words in order to produce a language output, otherwise known as speech is called global aphasia. This is the most severe form of aphasia. In global aphasia a person can neither read or write. In Wernicke's aphasia or fluent aphasia, individuals may be able to speak but may not understand what words mean and their speech may not sound normal. The ability to read and or write are also greatly impaired.
Aphasia's of the brain can happen as a result of a brain lesion, stroke, head trauma, tumor or infection that has affected the Broca area of the brain. When brain damage causes regular blood flow and neurotransmitters to function improperly, there needs to be external stimulation to the brain in order to attempt to improve cognitive abilities such as speech, reading and writing.
How can MRT therapy help?
First, an EEG(you can call it egg if you want), or electroencephalograph is needed to measure the voltage fluctuations from the ionic current flow between the neurons in the brain. It generally assesses the electrical activity of the brain as does an EKG measures the electrical activity of the heart. There can be between 3 to 128 electrodes placed on the scalp to measure the brains electrical output. The results of the EEG are then measured with what is considered "normal" brain electrical activity. Typically in the Broca's area of the brain, when someone has brain damage or aphasia this area will show abnormal ecectrical activity of neurons. Magnetic Resonance Therapy(MRT) is a brain stimulation therapy that is non-invasive and uses electromagnetic coils that pulse a magnetic field through by electrical current to the cranial tissue of the brain from the scalp. When people have leg, knee or back pain a similar device called a TENS unit is used by the attachment of electrodes to stimulate the area where you place the electrode to target the tissue to the nerve and suppress the pain. With regard to MRT Therapy, the external application of magnetic fields to the brain by using an MRT device, subsequently stimulates the existing neurons and assists in regulating abnormal neuron activity to functioning at adequate levels. In doing so neurons and blood flow begin operating at a normal progression.
MRT Therapy can be used to help stabilize people who are affected by Broca's aphasia. I know this cannot curb the up's and down's of the stock market; like investing from home, there should be an MRT device available for home use. Save on some of those Broca's fees by home therapy MRT devices. If the stock market can do it there's gotta be a market for this in the medical industry!
